A little bit about me:

For more than 20 years, Jen Miller has called Colorado her home. Like many people, she moved here to be close to nature and all of the adventures the mountains bring year round. Jen’s other passion is that of urban explorer, getting to know Denver’s tapestry of neighborhoods, enjoying the restaurants, shopping and culture, as well as the architecture that makes each block of homes special. Combining this love with the skills she honed as a teacher led to her joining Compass as a real estate broker.

Today, Jen helps homebuyers and sellers make the very most of their real estate investments. She has learned first hand how every decision a homeowner makes before and after the sale will have immediate and long term effects on their quality of life and financial fitness. Prior to joining Compass, she was an elementary school technology teacher, so she’s adept at clearly explaining complex topics and overcoming challenges with patience and grace. She meets each client where they are, listening intently, and collaborating with optimism and proven strategies. Success during her first year earned her the company’s Five Star Rising Star recognition award.

For homebuyers, Jen helps take the “process” out of the process to keep spirits up and positive energies flowing throughout the home search, during negotiations, all the way through closing. As a certified Central Denver Market Expert, she’s well-versed on the nuances of each neighborhood in terms of walkability, schools, transportation, noise, and access to what matters most to the buyer – proximity to the mountains, downtown, DIA, Tech Center, Stadium District, highways, hospitals, or anything else. She has many well qualified lender partners to ensure the best match for each client. Together with her home inspection team and black book of trusted contractors, she can help buyers estimate the true cost of a desired property, including immediate repairs, maintenance, and major repairs down the line.

For sellers, Jen looks beyond neighborhood comps to tell the true story of a house, including what makes it special beyond the basic specs of square footage and rooms. She brings this story to life in her marketing, including staging, photography, videos, MLS listing copy, one-sheets and brochures. She works closely with “work from home” families to create non-disruptive showing schedules, often turning a negative into a positive by encouraging a fun weekend getaway the first weekend of showing. Jen has a toolbox of proven financial incentives sellers can offer to sweeten the deal in a buyer’s market, including buydown offers and seller lines of credit, plus zero interest home improvement loans provided by Compass.

To support the communities she loves, Jen helps organize donations of clothing and money to one of her favorite charities, A Precious Child. She has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. Jen serves as co-chair of the Bucknell University Alumni chapter in Denver to keep her professional and social network active. When she needs a respite from the action in Denver’s thriving housing market, Jen can be found outdoors, exploring new neighborhoods, enjoying local parks, or hiking, biking, and skiing in the mountains – often with her son, Brooks, and Swiss Mountain Dog, Moose, along for the fun.
